Life story
February 16, 1982

Born in Winter Haven, Florida on February 16, 1982.
January 28, 2007

Passed away on January 28, 2007 at the age of 24.
March 13, 2007

My son was born on 2-16-1982 at 8:55 am. He was a big boy when he was born. He weighed 9 lbs. 5 1/2 oz. He was 22 inches long. His head was 14 inches. He had shoulders like a football player.

From the time Denny was born, he was a happy baby. HIs sister, Jackie and him were the light of my life.

Denny didn't get his hair cut the first time until August 31, 1983. He had beautiful long curly hair. His Daddy Jewell took him for his first haircut. I still have a lock of his hair from his first haircut. We have some of the cutest pictures of him getting his first haircut. He was not a happy child to begin with. I have one picture of him where he is sitting in the chair to get his hair cut and he is pouting. After his haircut, he no longer looked like a baby, he looked more like a little boy.

When Denny was growing up, he loved to play football and baseball. Baseball was his favorite. He went to the school in Mayo most of his life. He did go to Winter Haven for a short period of time. He graduated from Mayo in the year 2000.

Denny joined the Army. He went to Korea for 13 months. He always looked so handsome in his Army Class A's. Denny made alot of friends while he was in the Army. He made a big impact on alot of people's lives. I have heard from people that I don't even know that he was in the Army with, and mostly what I hear from them, is what a fun, loving and considerate man Denny was. I hear about how he was always making people laugh. I remember when we went to Denny's AIT graduation, he was the one who sang. It caught me off guard. But he really had a great singing voice. I was so proud of Denny while he was in the Army. He was proud of himself.

Denny stayed in Augusta, Georgia for awhile after he got out of the Army. Then he moved to Live Oak, Florida.

Denny may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. I miss him every day of my life. But there are alot of other people who also miss him. I hear from people every day that just can't believe that he is really gone. I still expect him to walk thru the door and his step-father, Terry, to say "Hey, Fluff."

Denny is survived by his Mother, Barbara Fowler Folsom and his Step-Father, Terrence Franklin Folsom. His Father, Dennis Edward Hart. His Sister, Jacqueline Michelle Ross. His Step-Sisters, Nichol Pittman Taylor, Heather Folsom Crow, Laura Folsom Brigance, and Teresa Folsom Mercer. His Step-Brothers, Calvin Grant Pittman and Tyson Franklin Folsom.

Denny has five nephews, Trevor Dennis Ross, Dalton Rylan Hurst, Drew Phillip Hurst, Ethan Gage Pittman and Aiden Pittman and he has a niece, Llydia Lynn Pittman. I really hate that they won't have their Uncle Denny around to teach them to throw a baseball and teach them to keep the pimp hand strong. I hate that Llydia will not ever meet her uncle and that he won't be around to protect her and teach her things she needs to know before she ever goes out on a date. lol They will miss out on alot of laughs and alot of fun with their Uncle Denny not being around. But they will meet him one day in Heaven. Dalton and Drew remember him. They remember playing baseball with him and Denny being at their Daddy's house.

Denny died on January 28, 2007. He is in Heaven with his PawPaw, Granddaddy Bob, Daddy Jewell and Da. Uncle Danny is up there with him also. He has more family up there that he hadn't ever met. I am sure that he has met them by now.

I look forward to the day that I get to see him again. I look forward to getting that big hug and kiss he always had for me. I miss him so much that it hurts with every breath that I take... I know that he will be waiting at Heaven's gate for me when it is my time to go be with him and my Daddy.
